Bryn Owen Llangwm Denbeigh SH 97504538 - The battle was in 994, between Maredudd ab Owain and the sons of Meurig in Llangwm [SJ 966445] and the sons of Meurig were victorious and there Tewdwr ab Einion ab Owain ap Hywel Dda was killed.
Nantheudwy, Llangollen [SJ 204393] 1132
In 1132 Cadwallon ap Gruffudd's conquests, he came to a stop in Nanheudwy, near Llangollen and there he was defeated and killed by an army from Powys. The location is probably at the top of Allt y Badi SJ 2039 at the saddle cross roads SJ 204393 route from Dyffryn Ceiriog to Llangollen.
Rhyd Forlas [Rhyd Morlas] [SJ 311383] 650
Gwên ap Llywarch was killed like his brothers guarding the ford - Rhyd Morlas [Morlais Farm SJ 312377] is on Watt's Dyke, the old English border. The stream flows off Mynydd Slattyn into the Ceiriog. Prys Gwen is now the farm name - Preesgweene SJ 293360.
Wich, Maelor - Droitwitch or Dritewich [Wych] [SJ 497435] 03.09.1146
Boundary between Cheshire a Maelor Sais [Maes-y-groes SJ 498431] - In 1146 the men of Powys crossed the Dee and began to ravage Maelor Saesneg. They were met at Wich on 3rd September by Robert of Mold, and defeated with great slaughter. For Wich, Fulwich, Droitwich or Dritewich, on the borders of Cheshire and Maelor district of Flintshire.

The Twrch Trwyth was chased across Dyfed from Porthglais near St. David's to San Clears in the first part of Arthur's persuite. The Boar Hunt was from the story of Culhwch and Olwen, but most likely a military campaign dating from around 520 AD. Visiting the following locations:

Banolau [Bryn Golau] [SH 452816] 874
The battle of Banolau [Ban Goleu] and the battle of Ynegrydd [could be in Yn Egrydd] in Anglesey. Bryn-goleu [SH 452816] near Capel Goch, and close to Erddreiniog [SH 461303]. The battles between Rhodri and The Vikings.
Bryn Onneu [Bryn Dona][SH 584795], 870 - Three years after that, the battle of Bryn Onnen took place.
Cedyll - Dundaethwy [Dinas SH 551734] [Cadnant] [SH 556732], 844 - Battle of Cedyll, Merfyn Frych died.

Edward II was at Neath on 5th November 1326 but, possibly heading for Ireland but gave up and headed, for Caerphilly. He was captured near the castle of Llantrisant at the place known as Pantybrad.
Caerffili [ST 155870] 1276
11.04.1268: Gilbert de Clare started building Caerffili Castle on the land newly anexed. Llywelyn replied by moving into Senghenydd from Brecon, because this was a breach of the Treaty of Montgomery. There followed a protracted legal and military standoff.

In 1263 John de Grey reported on his arival in mid Wales that all Brecon and Radnorshir had joined Llywelyn. By 05.03.1263. He and Roger Mortimer and defeated Llywelyn's army of over 10,000 at Abergavenny Ford.
Llyn Safaddan [Llangors Lake] [SO 129269] 916
In 916 Aethelfaed, of Mercia, sent an army to Wales after the murder of Abbot Egberht. They destroyed Brecenanmere Llangorse Lake crannog and captured the king's wife.

Pant-y-brad [SS 026876] 1326 Roedd Edward II yn Castell Nedd ar Tachwedd 1326 ond yn debygol ei fod ar y ffordd i Iwerddon, ond penderfynodd troi am Gaerfili. Cafodd ei ddal ger castell Llantrisant mewn lle a adnabyddir fel Pantybrad.
Caerffili [ST 155870] 1276 11.04.1268: Dechreuodd Gilbert de Clare adeiladu Castell ar y tir a ddygwyd. Gwnaeth Llywelyn ymateb drwy symud i mewn i Senghenydd o Aberhonddu, oherwydd torri cytindeb Trefaldwyn. Dilynwyd hyn gan oediad cyfreithiol a militaraedd hir.

Yn 1263 adroddodd John de Grey ei fod wedi cyrraedd canolbarth Cymru a bod Aberhonddu a sir Faesyfed wedi ymuno gyda byddin Llywelyn. Erbyn 05.03.1263 roedd ef a Roger Mortimer wedi trechu byddin Llywelyn o dros 10,000 wrth Rhyd y Fenni.
Llyn Syfaddan [Llangors Lake] [SO 129269] 916 Yn 916 anfonodd Aethelfaed, o Mercia, fyddin i Gymru ar ôl llofruddiaeth Abad Egberht. Fe ddinistrwyd Brecenanmere crannog llyn Safaddon a cipiwyd gwraig y brenin.
